| Overview: Thanksgiving Point is large, really large – 55 Acres. Known to photographers for their gardens, Thanksgiving Point is a popular spot for photographing in Utah. There are many different spots with winding ivy, rose bushes, cathedral arches, winding paths, waterfalls, and more. Thanksgiving Point is such a large place, we recommend that brides wear comfortable shoes and be prepared for a fair amount of walking. The Good: Free admission. Also, lots of great photos can be taken here and you can get a great variety of images from just one location. The park is nice year-round with mornings and evenings being the very best. The Bad: Admission. Such lovely gardens come at a price. A photo-pass is required to take pictures on the premises. Photo passes cost about $60. Photographers can purchase annual passes for $400. Our Opinion: We’ve opted not to purchase an annual pass at this time. We feel there are lots of wonderful locations across the Wasatch Front available for free or less money. While our brides can certainly pay the $60/day fee and will get excellent pictures for their money, there are plenty of other spots available. |
