sleepytime session

So excited to share this session from one of our bedtime shoots…they are quickly becoming one of my favorites from each year, maybe we’ll have to have a few dates for them next year!

I knew little Nora from her family session last year and when her mom suggested we get her family together for this shoot, I was so excited. It was amazing how much Nora had grown, and all of her cousins were so polite and
such sweet girls…just a lovely family to be around! Lots of giggling and sisterly “love”. It was a blast.

In other news, I wanted to remind everyone that we are starting to book fall family sessions! We expect to be very busy this year, so I recommend getting your session scheduled soon. We will also be having a few Sprout Out and About dates specifically for family sessions on September 17th, October 15th on location and November 12th in studio. Out and About Bedtime Shoot

For those of you who haven’t checked our calendar on our website, we wanted to let you know we are having our very popular “Bedtime in a Field” Out and About portrait day. This Saturday July 9th we will be shooting at Wheeler Farm. We will bring the bed, you bring your little ones in their jammies. April Showers Mini Sessions

Come Join us for our super exciting April Showers mini sessions. This Saturday is supposed to rain, but even if it doesn’t, we are still going to splish splash in goulashes and umbrellas! Picture your cute little ones giggling, stomping around in colorful boots, twirling their umbrellas! What fun! Right!?!?

Our mini sessions are $25 for an exciting 20 minutes of shooting which is plenty of time to get big grins and joyful laughs.

We will bring some boots and umbrellas but please bring your own if you have some, or pick up a fun new pair on sale at places like Target or Payless.

Like most businesses, we are constantly learning and tweaking the way we do things around here to better serve both our clients and our work flow. As of March 1st, we will be instating our new pricing structure. It will not change drastically from the current pricing, mostly we will be adding new collection options that will be more appealing to the specific client, like senior portrait collections, baby collections, and large wall portrait collections. We are also excited to soon be offering some fabulous new products, we will tell you all about them later.

We will be raising the pricing of the small portrait sizes of 4×6 and 5×7. If you have been meaning to make an order and haven’t done so yet, please take this opportunity to still get our current pricing till the end of February. Wow, what a great year we had in 2010! We got to see many children and families that we work with year after year as well as met many new smiling faces that we hope to continue seeing each year. We thought it would be a lot of fun to take a look at all of our portrait sessions from 2010 and share our favorite images from our sessions throughout the year. There are so many that we will be posting these images in 5 different posts over the next week, so check back every day to see all the sweet faces we have been so fortunate to know this past year. I realize it’s been a bit quiet on the blog front lately, so here’s a little glimpse of what we’ve been doing, and we have a lot more previews to come!

It is time for one of my favorite holidays of the year – HALLOWEEN!!! And with this celebration we love getting visited by all of your sweet fairy princesses and scary zombie mummies! We have had so many people calling to make sure we will be doing halloween portraits again this year. My response… “How can we not!?!?”

We want to invite all of you parents out there to bring your trick-or-treaters by to visit us for some halloween costume portraits. No appointment needed, just bring your ghouls and goblins after school or on your way to your halloween parties and trick-or-treating. We will be shooting at our Sugar House studio on Friday October 29th from 12pm-7pm and again at Wheeler Farm on October 30 from 2pm-6pm. On Saturday at Wheeler Farm, we will be shooting on the west side of the big brown barn next to the south parking lot. Look for the sprout photo banner. If the weather is rainy, we will be shooting at our Sugar House studio instead. Please call us if you want to confirm our location on Saturday. We wont really know until Saturday morning. 801-244-2778.

We are not charging a portrait session fee, just asking that you preorder your prints at the time of the shoot. This year we will be selling a special halloween portrait package. Each package includes 1 8×10 and 3 5×7 prints. Your first package costs $50, your second package costs $35 and your third package costs $20. Individual prints also will be available for purchase.

Maybe I’m a little biased, but aren’t these 2 of the cutest girls in the whole entire world?

Ok, I’ll admit, these are two of my nieces, and I’m thrilled they came to our sleepytime session! It was cute to watch them interact, and fun to think about the fact that pretty soon, there is going to be another little girl in this mix! So excited for my brother and sister-in-law and cannot wait to meet their little one!

Just a quick reminder for our next couple Out and About sessions, we have October 15th set for doggie day and also October 16th at the Ogden Train Station. Logan and I were sooooooo very excited for these sleepytime sessions that we had planned, and they turned out to be so much fun! Thanks to everyone for showing up in their cute jammies and having a little fun with us for a little while!

This sweet little thing is a dear friends’ daughter…isn’t she adorable? Although she was a little apprehensive at first (I mean, it’s not like it’s out of the ordinary to have a bed in the middle of a clearing outside, right??) I’m so happy with the images we were able to capture.

We are so excited for our whimsical sleepytime sessions we have planned for September 3rd. Does your little man like to sleep in his superman pajamas with a cape? Or your little girl prefers to take her naps in her fairy princess dress? Bring your little ones, or the whole family dressed in jammies and nighties for dreamy bedtime portraits.

We will have a sweet little bed set up in a meadow with gorgeous light and surrounded by nature! Bring your favorite bedtime story books, blankies, and snugly animals and we will take care of the rest!

La Caille is an award winning restaurant located at the base of Little Cottonwood Canyon. The grounds of La Caille consist of luscious gardens and walkways with ponds and streams running throughout. There are bunnies and peacocks, chickens and roosters all roaming about. It truly is a wonderful setting for family, senior, and children portraits.

Our ‘Out and About’ sessions are special $50, 45 minute sessions instead of our normal $150 price for an on-location session. This is a serious value! We look forward to hearing from you! 801-244-2778

Sprout Out and About Sessions!

I’m SO excited to be announcing our next Sprout Out and About session, and also including the schedule for the remainder of 2010!

Our next session will be held on August 7th up in beautiful Park City on the property of the White Barn. The property has a beautiful barn on it, and is surrounded by beautiful greenery and the backdrop of the Wasatch Mountains. The image after the break was taken up there last year, and it’s by far one of my favorite locations to shoot! (and a side note, I’ll be photographing this cute little family again next month…so excited to see them again and see how their little ones have grown!)

These sessions are about 45 minutes long for $50, which is a third of our normal on-location session fee…I will be shooting from 9am to 7pm with a limited amount of spaces available, so call soon at 801-244-2778!

Here at Sprout, we are SO excited to be a part of Becky Higgin’s Big Photography Giveaway! If you’re not aware of who Becky is, she is a fabulous scrapbook blogger who decided to do a HUGE giveaway on her blog…Every day in the month of May, she will be featuring a number of photographers from around the country (and a few from around the world!) who are giving away sessions, and our day to be featured is Sunday, May 16th!
