I get asked a lot about what props to bring to a studio session for a child. I am not a fan of getting messy with a bunch of meaningless props, but I do lvoe it when a parent brings some cherished items. This little guy got to drool over his daddy’s childhood baseball and cap, and I think it was the perfect addition. Toys that have been passed down generations, an old rocking horse, or a toy that is timeless like a baseball glove or a basketball, a special doll or particular clothes, these all add to an image. A new shiny toy might be fun, but doesn’t evoke the same kind of emotion as this simple baseball.
