Last week we introduced you to Mary & Rick’s three-day celebration of all that is best in food, family and fun – beginning with their low-key but still fabulous Rehearsal Dinner. Today we head up to the big leagues – The Ceremony. Held at the postcard-perfect Red Cliff Ranch, their wedding was a showcase of taste and refinement, yet remained a very personal and intimate event. Mary’s dress provided by AltaMODA; Hair and Makup by Enizio; planning and coordination by Riehl Events; vintage car service by Something Vintage Something Blue; invitations, menu and program design by Ann Elizabeth Custom Invitations and Pink Piggy Design; guitar byMichael Lucarelli; and of course the food by Culinary Crafts.

Yesterday we teased you by mentioning that one of our weddings had been featured in ALL THREE of Utah’s major bridal magazines. What we didn’t tell you is that the bride for this amazing event is someone so beloved and respected within the wedding industry in Utah, that for many of us, this was the real ‘royal wedding’ of last year. I am speaking of none other than Mary Crafts, head of Utah’s premier catering company (Culinary Crafts) for 27 years running, and one serious class act. So what choice does the top caterer have when it comes to catering her own wedding? Well there really isn’t any – she simply had to set the bar to a whole ‘nuther level! Three days of celebration, family and…what am I forgetting here….oh yes – FOOD! So here is Day 1 – the Rehearsal Dinner held in Mary’s own back yard. The Rehearsal Dinner was coordinated by Jacque Riehl of Riehl Events, featured in the latest issue of Utah Valley Bride, and of course catered by Culinary Crafts. I was nothing short of honored to have been asked to document this for Mary & Rick.

This week an event created by Culinary Crafts was featured on Amy Atlas’ “sweet designs” blog. For those of you who don’t know who Amy Atlas is, check her out. She is kind of a big deal. 
The event was a colorful circus birthday party for a child and I had a blast photographing all of the wonderful details Culinary Crafts came up with. In part 1 of Julia & Dan’s wedding day I indicated that viewers should stay tuned for part 2 which would be landing ‘soon’. I realize that 2 weeks is somewhat pushing the boundaries of ‘soon’, but Julia said that family and friends had been asking her about it constantly, so hopefully a little late is better then never. Thanks for your patience gang!
This was such a fun crowd and the love was palpable. Julia & Dan, you’ve got great people behind you and around you. Thank you for making me a part of it!

We are proud to announce the recent Grand Opening of our new studio in Sugar House and we’ve got this KILLER video from the amazingly talented David Perry to share a bit of it with you!
The new studio, dubbed ‘Studio 1053′, is home to ZumaPhoto, its sister studio Sprout Photo, and the Salt Lake annex of the incomparable, 6-time Best of State winning caterer, Culinary Crafts.
Thanks to a lot of help from our partners and friends, we were able to throw an awesome party for some 200 or so of our friends and favorite vendors! We make a pretty sweet team, if I do say so myself. ;)
