%utah wedding photographer %wedding photojournalism ||Sara and Micah were such a delightful couple to work with.  Though they met in China and their courtship has traveled around the world, they had their wedding here in Utah where both of their families are from.  We took their bridals a few weeks before the wedding at La Caille, the prefect setting for the antique/vintage look that Sara was looking for.  Her dress was an original Modern Trousseau, and she purchased it from the lovely ladies at Alta Moda Bridal.  Micah’s amazing suit was actually custom made in China where the couple met.  I think his suit matched her dress perfectly, and I couldn’t stop telling them how much I loved them side by side.  Sara’s Bridal bouquet was beautifully crafted by Every Blooming Thing.

%utah wedding photographer %wedding photojournalism ||We took Leah and Dean’s Groomal portraits at the Utah state capitol and at the Salt Lake City library. It was a gorgeous spring morning and Leah was just stunning in her bridal gown from Alta Moda. As we were shooting at the capitol, a tour bus full of Japanese tourists stopped and came in for a tour of the historic building. The moment Leah stepped into the spotlight beaming down from the rotunda, every tourist’s camera was lifted up and 50 flashes began twinkling as they all snapped some shots of the beautiful bride on the marble stairs. It was a pretty funny moment for all of us. Thanks Dean and Leah! You two are so so great!

%utah wedding photographer %wedding photojournalism || This wedding’s blog post is way over due. I’m sorry to everybody who has anxiously been waiting to see the reception of Julianne and Weston. They were married at the Salt Lake Temple and held their wedding reception at Cucina Nassi, the new Italian style banquet hall run by Walter Nassi, operator of Cucina Toscana in downtown Salt Lake City. It is such a luxurious hall without being over the top or cheesy. Colby from C3 design and Sean from Sax Romney floral design created an amazing setting for Julianne and Weston to enjoy a hundred different appetizers, what seemed to be a 20 course sit down dinner, and a decadent dessert buffet. It was a beautiful relaxing evening with Julianne and Weston’s friends, family and food… what more could you ask for? Thank you Julianne and Weston for inviting me to share your special wedding day. I had so much fun with you two on the engagement and bridal sessions and your wedding day was just glorious. L, Logan

%utah wedding photographer %wedding photojournalism ||These two lovebirds were married back in February. We were crossing our fingers for a snowstorm on her wedding day (Julianne really wanted snow) but there was no snow around. Still, it was a gorgeous day for a winter wedding. And the lovely weather allowed us to spend more time outside around temple square. Here are some of my favorites from the first half of their day. Stay tuned for the the images from their reception!

%utah wedding photographer %wedding photojournalism || Well since we’re stuck here in winter for a few more weeks we might as well celebrate it. I can’t think of a better way than to share this gorgeous album from McCall & Ryan’s December sealing the Salt Lake Temple that culminated in a stunning winter reception at Sundance Resort!

McCall had a lot of images to pare it down from: we did an engagement session, a bridal AND groomal session, the temple sealing and the reception. The only thing to do was go BIG! So here we have a 12×16 inch, 100-side beauty dolled up in McCall’s own inspired combination of gold ostrich and copper metallic leathers. As beautiful as it looks here, this album really needs to be seen in person to be fully appreciated. Its positively decadent! %utah wedding photographer %wedding photojournalism ||

%utah wedding photographer %wedding photojournalism ||I had the hardest time picking out only a “few” of my favorites from Julianne and Weston’s groomal session. Julianne was so beautiful in her custom gown from Alta Moda bridal. And her bouquet from Sax Romney was so unique and fit Julianne’s tastes perfectly. While we were at the Capitol, two different women who worked there approached Julianne to tell her that of all the lovely brides who come to the Capitol to have their portraits taken, she was the most stunning of them all, and they see a lot of brides come through. I just love knowing I have the most gorgeous bride of all! Julianne has so much attention to detail and has such style. Weston wasn’t too shabby either. What a handsome couple! Thanks you tow! L, Logan

The two were married just yesterday and are now off to warm sunny beaches for their honeymoon. It was a beautiful wedding on a lovely February day. Visit our blog again to see their wedding-day blog post, coming soon!

%utah wedding photographer %wedding photojournalism || Its been a while since we shared an album, but you can expect many more coming up because we produced more albums in this past year than we ever have before! Today’s star is this gorgeous 100-side, copper metallic leather and pink suede jaw-dropper that we produced for Maggie & Ben.

Maggie & Ben were married one beautiful sunny June day at the world famous La Caille, and we took a little extra time in designing the album to make sure that it really captured the love and emotion that were palpable to everyone there.

Please to enjoy!

%utah wedding photographer %wedding photojournalism || We are again honored to have a six-page feature in the hot-off-the-presses 2010 edition of Utah Bride & Groom Magazine !

This time around its Kim and Sean’s spectacular Fourth o’ July a-hitchin’ at Johnson Mill. Kym wore an Atelier Aimee gown from Alta Moda Bridal with a very cool handmade purse by Leigh-Ann Kline. Flowers were by Basket of Gold, music was by Kim’s son Adrian’s band (they rocked it), and the fireworks were provided courtesy of the Heber City Chamber of Commerce (though admittedly they probably had another occasion in mind…).

Go get your copy of Utah Bride & Groom, wherever better local bridal magazines are sold.  ;)

%utah wedding photographer %wedding photojournalism || Dana hails from Down Under (Australia, not Provo) and though she talks funny, she’s also beautiful and just a heap ‘o fun, to boot.

When I saw her dress from Alta Moda Bridal I knew that I wanted to do something dramatic with her bridals and I thought that a bit of desert would suit her heritage and contrast nicely. She was totally down with a bit of adventure, so an hour and a half of driving later, we found ourselves with near perfect sky conditions. We had thought that the trip would only take 30 minutes, however, so by the time we got there, I had to work fast to make the most of the 20 minutes of light that I had remaining! It was probably not my most relaxed bridal session, but its one of my favorites so far this year.
