Its a new year and what better way to kick off 2013 than with something adventurous and unusual. Jacqui and David tied the not atop a nearly 10,000 foot high Wasatch mountain peak on New Years Day and yours truly jumped in the helicopter with them to document it! The groomsmen went up first to pack down a bit of snow, lay down a runner for the bride to walk down, and set up a flower arch overlooking a vista so beautiful that it was surreal. Along with her gown, Jacqui wore white gloves and snowboard boots. Why snowboard boots? So they could board down the mountain and begin their life together with a jaunt through 5 feet of Utah’s famous blow-powder! Not for the faint of heart, but oh so good. Many thanks to Diamond Peaks Heli Ski Adventures for getting us all there in safety and style!
Most grooms just have to get into a tux – David had to put on snow gear on top of it.
You think putting on boots is tough? Try it in a wedding dress.
Jacqui’s ‘something blue’ was an avalanche transponder, naturally.
Last item to grab before boarding the chopper was Jacqui’s KILLER custom wedding board!
So cool.
The beast awaits.
The view from the alter.
Snowboarding in a wedding dress is damn hard work.
Tired but happy at the end of the run!
Nothing to do but bask in the sun while we wait for the chopper to come take us home…
…which it does after blasting everyone with snow.
Congratulations Jacqui & David! Thank you so much for having me along to capture the start of your adventure.

Mitch…you do beautiful work! This was so much fun and we had a great day. Thank you for helping make this a memorable event for all involved. We hope to work with you again in the future. Happy Heli-Days!
