This was such a fun shoot. Sure the winds where out of control, but I like to think of it as simply adding depth of real life to the images. It was a magical day and one I sure I will remember for ages. It was such a pleasure working with Anna and Ryan and seeing how they light each other up. I wish the best of luck to you both %utah wedding photographer %wedding photojournalism || Thanks again for letting me part of your love story..

%utah wedding photographer %wedding photojournalism || I have been lucky enough to get to shoot up at Red Cliff Ranch many times now and I love it there. It is so beautiful, elegant and unique all balled up into one amazing place. Then you add an amazing couple like Andrea and Sage; and you end up with pure magic. It was an amazing day from the start to finish (including the cow that thought he was a star and had to try and make it into all of our sunset shots). The food was exquisite from Culinary Craft as usual and everything looked so beautiful. It was a perfect fit for Andrea and Sage making it a perfect day as well as experience. Thanks again for having me you two.

%utah wedding photographer %wedding photojournalism ||Shaun and I had the pleasure of shooting Justine & Howard’s wedding last August at the gorgeous St. Regis Park City and it was just a ton of fun! all put together with taste and elegance by JOWY Productions of Beverly Hills with a little local help from Utah’s own Soirée Productions and Scenemakers. Great couple, great location, loving guests, beautiful decor and of course Elvis Costello providing the entertainment.

Oh, did I not mention that before? We’ll get to that.

As excited as I was to share this truly remarkable wedding on the blog, I decided to hold off when I learned that ‘Inside Weddings’ wanted to publish it in their Winter issue. Well, the magazine is out so I’m talkin’ it up! Read on to see the magazine layout, drool over the fantastic details and lighting, and uh….oh yeah…Elvis.

%utah wedding photographer %wedding photojournalism || Lynae & Lee are currently warming up in Antigua after these Texas native had a COLD but beautiful Park City winter wedding at the luxurious Sky Lodge this past Saturday.

I’ll be posting their wedding in the next week (though I put a teaser at the end of the post) but I thought it would be a good time to take a look at the engagement session that we turned into a guest sign-in book for them.

And if Lynae looks familiar to you, let’s just say that the forecast for your favorite meteorologist returning to the airwaves soon is about 50/50. %utah wedding photographer %wedding photojournalism ||

Stay warm guys!

%utah wedding photographer %wedding photojournalism ||Let me start by saying Congratulations to Nicole and Rich… You are guys are the best! I feel so humble by you letting me share your special day. It really was a day to remember from starting the day fishing with guys to ending the night with pie and a great band… I can’t imagine a more perfect setting for the couple than Red Cliff Ranch. The combination of the ranch and the amazing talent of Mara from Events by LMG, along with catering from Culinary Crafts, made the perfect storm and I was beyond excited to shoot it. Here are some of my favorite images from the day.

Thanks again Nicole and Rich for having me along.

%utah wedding photographer %wedding photojournalism || Its a new year and what better way to kick off 2013 than with something adventurous and unusual. Jacqui and David tied the not atop a nearly 10,000 foot high Wasatch mountain peak on New Years Day and yours truly jumped in the helicopter with them to document it! The groomsmen went up first to pack down a bit of snow, lay down a runner for the bride to walk down, and set up a flower arch overlooking a vista so beautiful that it was surreal. Along with her gown, Jacqui wore white gloves and snowboard boots. Why snowboard boots? So they could board down the mountain and begin their life together with a jaunt through 5 feet of Utah’s famous blow-powder! Not for the faint of heart, but oh so good. Many thanks to Diamond Peaks Heli Ski Adventures for getting us all there in safety and style!

%utah wedding photographer %wedding photojournalism || Well the weather is turning cold here in Utah so its about time to start looking at weddings in that OTHER season – the one without green trees.

Erin and Jason wanted to escape New York for a mountain-top winter wedding, and that’s just what they got. And snow. LOT’s of snow.

Canyon’s Red Pine Lodge provides warm and cozy shelter from the white beauty of Park City’s main product, and they danced up a storm to rival the one raging outside.

Flowers and Decor by Silver Cricket.

Location and Catering by Canyon’s Resort.
